新北市立淡水古蹟博物館
紅毛城最早建於17世紀，1628年西班牙人在此曾建立軍事堡壘，而今日的紅毛城是由荷蘭人在1644年重新建造，屹立的堡壘歷經不同時代的歲月流轉，共有九個政權在此駐守、辦公或代管，最終定格於博物館，向世人分享它的故事篇章。
紅毛城的建築本身即是一座歷史的劇場，由朗敘Brightext為其更新展示，從挑起情感記憶的色彩、解構紅毛城的形狀符碼發想。取材朱紅的外牆、層疊的紅磚、建築內部垂直交疊的筒形拱頂、城牆上起伏的雉堞等元素，設計出視覺上具穿透性，與建築的氛圍相互調和，且更能乘載故事的展示組合。
朗敘團隊以分層漸進的方式梳理紅毛城錯綜複雜的歷史，在觀眾首先到訪的一樓便能透過動畫演繹、建築模型與史料的比對，定位到紅毛城從大航海時代至今的歷史軸線，進到二樓再將內容的深度拉深、近看不同時代使用的建築方式、材料、修復過程中的發現，在地耆老口傳的故事以及各式典藏與生活痕跡息息相關的文物。
展陳設計除了著重在歷史爬梳的主題，亦聚焦建築本身處處留有的使用及修建痕跡，引導觀者遊走在空間中的同時，用「看」斑駁的牢門裡關押的幽暗環境、領事館時期修補的射口、領事辦公的情境、「聽」廣播短劇模擬不同時期曾經在此的人物角色自白，有荷蘭大總督、英國領事、被關押的犯人…等，引導觀眾由不同的文化、觀點，在淡水夕照下細讀這段有溫度的歷史。

Fort Santo Domingo was first constructed in the 17th century, starting as the Spanish built the military fortress in 1628. It was later renovated into its current form by the Dutch in 1644. The fortress over the centuries has witnessed personnel from a total of nine different states being stationed, administrate, and escrowed at its premises. In recent years, it has transformed into a historical museum to share its story with the world.
Fort Santo Domingo itself is a theater of history, which was an important concept for us at Brightext to maintain and expand upon. From the colors that evoke emotional memories and the subsequent conceptual deconstruction of the symbolical form of Fort Santo Domingo, elements such as the vermilion facades, cascading red bricks, vertically overlapping barrel-shaped vaults inside the building, and undulating battlements on the fortress walls, were all taken into consideration when we set out to create a curational and visual experience that was taking into account the harmonic atmosphere of the building; a project that is capable of conveying the combination of stories we wished to tell.
The Brightext curation team set out to explore and organize the complicated history of Fort Santo Domingo in a layered and progressive manner. Once entering the first floor, visitors are greeted with an animated interpretation of the history of the Fortress and a visual comparison of architectural models and historical materials that give the audience a historical axis of Fort Santo Domingo from the Age of Discovery to the modern. On the second floor, we decided to exhibit more in-depth extensions of content, including architectural methods, materials, archeological discoveries made in the restoration process, the stories told by elderly citizens, and various collections of items closely related to life around the Tamsui area.
In addition to focusing on the concept of combing the history, the exhibition design also focuses on the remnants of usage, construction, and restoration, within the building itself. It attempts to guide visitors through the space and visually experience the insides of the Fort, such as the mottled prison section, firing ports repaired during the consulate period, and the day-to-day proceedings in the consular office. For audio content, visitors are able to listen to a radio drama whose contents are monologues of different characters in various historical periods, such as the Dutch governor, the British Head Consul, and prisoners in the Fortress. The exhibition guides the visitors to investigate this warm history of Fort Santo Domingo through the perspective of different cultures under the beautiful sunset of the Tamsui Wharf.
